Art has always been a lifetime teacher and throughout the years it has taught me a very valuable lesson, if not the most important of all so far. It taught me how not to be afraid to take the plunge, try new things, experiment with the unknown. I’ve learned to walk out of my comfort zone and make BEAUTIFUL mistakes.
It’s a self journey to discover how poetic a mess can be. How I’m pretty at my worse and how my ugly can become my BEST work of art. This applies to everything in my life nowadays. I am my biggest and best project. And when Life becomes too messy, I’ve learned, just like when I paint, to add more colors, flip it, turn it, shake it because in the end, even a mess can turn into a beautiful abstract painting. You just have to make the best of what you have at the moment. Chose life, attract positivity and see the bigger picture.
In the beginning, painting was just a small part of my life. And I didn’t completely understand it, because I didn’t understand myself. So I started on a different journey, walking side by side with my art. It was exciting to see where it led me and all the things it would tell me about myself. That’s when I truly understood the concept of “art is life”. Because it really is!
Painting has become a meditation process for me which allows me, for a second, to filter everything that is meaningless out of my soul and concentrate on what we are really here for i.e to create.
